St Patricks Mint Chocolate Bark (Printable)

Vibrant mint chocolate bark layered with dark & white chocolates and festive green toppings.

# What You Need:

→ Chocolates

01 - 7 oz dark chocolate (at least 60% cocoa), chopped
02 - 7 oz white chocolate, chopped

→ Flavoring

03 - 1/2 tsp peppermint extract

→ Toppings

04 - 1.75 oz green candy-coated chocolates (e.g., M&Ms)
05 - 2 tbsp green sprinkles or sanding sugar
06 - 2 tbsp chopped pistachios (optional, for color and crunch)

# How-To Steps:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
02 - In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate over a pot of simmering water (double boiler) or in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
03 - Stir half of the peppermint extract into the melted dark chocolate.
04 - Pour the dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even rectangle (about 8x10 inches).
05 - Melt the white chocolate in a clean bowl using the same method. Stir in the remaining peppermint extract.
06 - Gently pour the white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer. Use a skewer or toothpick to swirl the two chocolates together for a marbled effect.
07 - Immediately sprinkle green candy-coated chocolates, green sprinkles, and pistachios over the top, pressing them lightly into the chocolate.
08 - Refrigerate the bark for 45 minutes, or until completely set.
09 - Once set, break into pieces and serve.

# Helpful Tips:

01 -
  • The contrast of bittersweet dark chocolate against creamy white chocolate creates perfect balance in every bite
  • You can customize the toppings based on what you have in your pantry or find at the store
  • It keeps for a week in the fridge, making it ideal for make-ahead party prep
02 -
  • Never add water to melting chocolate or it will seize into an unusable grainy mess
  • Work quickly once the white chocolate is melted because it has a tendency to stiffen faster than dark
  • Room temperature ingredients prevent the melted chocolate from seizing when you add the peppermint extract
03 -
  • Chop your chocolate into uniform pieces before melting for the most consistent results
  • Keep all toppings within arm's reach before you start melting so you can work quickly
